Minimum RAM and flash requirements for Compact 7 (or any componentized customizable OS) is a completely meaningless metric IMHO. Why? The absolute minimum footprint for a WEC image is tiny - a couple hundred kB or so, but it only consist of the minimal kernel implementation and one thread. That's fine only if you are looking into designing a device that dosn't do anything...

If you want it to actually make it do something useful you need to add at least some components and an application or two. The components you select will severely affect the image size and RAM requierements, as will the application framework used (.NET CF or native), if you use a lot of graphics that will have an impact on RAM usage etc.

In my experience a typical OS image with storage, a couple communication stacks, a few servers and a normal graphical user interface will take about ~20-40MB flash storage and at least 64MB of RAM. Headless devices tend to be a little smaller -say 10-20MB or so.
