Hi, I am currently working on a project in my final year of college and would like to know if anyone could help me with including a shop component to it. I am using visual studio 2008 and coding in c#. I am not quite the strong coder just yet and would appreciate it if anyone could help me. Coding examples or links would be great!. I was thinking an ebay style biding shop but that would be much too complicated so maybe a craigslist/forum style shop would be the best appraoch. Links or code examples would again be great here.

Hello Mike,

This a fairly big subject you're asking about and not really suited for a single forum post.  I think your best bet is to find some online tutorials about how to set up a merchant site with a shopping cart component, such as these: Shopping Cart using C#.NET, Web Forms and SQL Server or Build a Shopping Cart in ASP.NET. 

BTW, this forum is meant for issues regarding the Visual Studio documentation and Help system.  You'll probably get more reponses to your programming questions if you post them in either the C# forum or the Web Development forum.  Another good resource is the Microsoft Developer Learning Center for Web development.
