I've used CodeProject for a while but today I decided to respond to a question for the first time. I tried to be cordial, thorough, and accurate. I'm not upset that my answer wasn't chosen. But I'm confused as to why I was down voted. If I made a technical error, I would like to understand it so I don't make it again when coding. If it is an error in etiquette I would like to know so that I don't continue to alienate fellow programmers.

Hi, it was my question and my decision to vote the solution down.

In fairness, looking back at the example I gave. I should of used Session and not QueryString in my example.

Session returns an Object and it's the conversion of an Object using Convert.ToString which returns the empty string.

Your conclusion and test was correct so I'll go back change the score. :-)
