I have just installed Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition.
I would like to get some advice on whether or not I should install the MSDN libraries.
I have plenty of disk space on my pc, so space is not an issue.
I also have a relatively fast internet connection, so network speed isn't a real issue either.
I always work with an Internet connection.
I did a little testing with the Help facility after my install.
I have the Tools/Options/Help/Online settings to their defaults, so I am searching online first.
I tried to do a Search for 'Val' and that ran quickly. As soon as I clicked the section for MSDN Online I saw what I wanted.
I did notice that when I do a Help/Contents or a Help/Index I don't seem to get what I might expect.
For example, with Help/Index there is no Filter for Visual Basic.
It looks like what I have is just the Help on Help.
Well, any help, advice, pros & cons would be greatly appreciated!
if you have plenty of space ... go ahead and install it FULL ... and let the option to get from the internet first.
