G'day Folks  
I am looking for SS,exe and the basic legacy version to serve as a plugin for winmerge...Im almost done on a revamp of   windows media centre 2005 that ive retired to my music tv room and i just wanted to version check the final thing before i burn it to disk ....i thought it would be easliy obtained but like so much of the web today download links turnedinto little horror stories.(smirking) ...... but I'm waiting for a download through an RSS feed but have no idea when that will occur... I know there is version control with VS2010,(somewhere? :) ) but the Winmerge interface is set up for pre-version 5 ancient technological app that remarkably still works and one doesn't have to wade through a forest of software and policy controls to work it.
Im just getting friendly after two years  with Cortana and Windows 10,,, at first i thought my former mother in law was in the machine because it was so much like someone lookin' over your shoulder and changing administrative settings so a driver wouldn't install cos of a group policy change and you'd be without your latest software yen for a while. When Cortana finally got the Australian language update she suddenly realised I'd been cussing her ever since she moved in and she dissappeared into a cloud for a while sulking, but being a good bloke, i was kind to her and shes back again and swearing at me now!
So be a good sport and send us a real link or a copy if you please and Ill recommend you be given an award .... yeah when you stop laughin' that is

Unfortunately, The VSS is no longer supported, and its public download links have been removed. Because it’s too old, there is a possibility that MSDN subscribers can still download it from the MSDN software library though.
