我们通过创建VSS数据库的ssa文件来获取VSS的wekly备份。突然，我们开始在执行活动时收到消息CRC Mismatch Volume或Label语法错误。

执行anlyze命令并且没有列出任何错误，为了更安全run analyze -f命令得到了可能的meesage发现不一致错误找不到文件或路径。

正确的方法备份VSS数据库是整个数据库的简单复制/粘贴，使用SSA文件存档一些数据库中不再使用的项目，因为SSA文件是二进制的，一旦
被破坏，无法恢复，所以将SSA文件用于备份VSS数据库真的不是一个好主意，而没有人使用数据库，停止网络共享，做磁盘复制粘贴将是正确的备份方式。

We take the wekly backup of VSS through creating ssa file of the VSS db. Suddennly we started getting message CRC Mismatch Volume or Label syntax is incorrect while performing the activity.

Ran the anlyze command and no errors were listed and for safer ran analyze -f command got the meesage Potentially inconsistencies errors found File or Path not found.

Hello,

The correct way to backup VSS database is simple copy/paste of the whole database, using SSA file for archive off some no more used projects in a database, since SSA file is binary, once it is corrupted, no way to restore back, So it is really not a good idea to use SSA file for backup VSS database, while no one using the database, stopped network sharing, do a disk copy paste would be right way to backup.

 

As far as the CRC error, I am not sure that is exact error syntax, you could reference to this article for different corruption errors:

The correct syntax to get a verbose detail analyze log is :

Analyze.exe [data folder local path] –v4
