I am trying to tell my customers which rugged device with barcode scanning they need to buy to run the windows embedded 7 application I am starting to write and I can't find any - which devices are being used now?  All of the devices I am finding say 6.1 OS.

Since Windows Embedded Compact 7 just released on March 1st, there probably aren't any yet.  Most are running Windows Mobile or Windows Handheld, becuase that is what their customers want.

So the real question is, why are you writing an app that targets an OS that your customers aren't using?  Better would probably be to find a device that meets their needs and then write an application that targets that device.
