I have been running VB EE 2008 for a while and felt that something was not right with the Help system.
So I uninstalled the product (from Windows XP Media Center). Then I re-downloaded and re-installed it.
In Tools/Options/Environment/Help/Online I have 'When Loading Help Content' set to 'Try local only, not online'.
If I do a Help/Search and then enter something like 'Build' in the Search bar I get back 0 results.
'Project' gets back one result 'Accessibility Tips and Tricks'.
If I switch to 'Try local first, then online' my 'Debug' search gets 100 MSDN Online hits.
But only 1 Local Help hit.

Thanks for any help.  I posted this in the VB EE forum and got a response that this
might be a MSDN Library issue. So I thought I would try here.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you're missing a local installation of MSDN Library.  This page has links to the Express Edition version of MSDN as well as a link to the full, unabridged version.
