I'm successfully using docmd.outputto to create an Excel spreadsheet based on a query.  Because it's a research environment the spreadsheet needs to be password protected.  Is there a way within Access to create the spreadsheet and make it password protected?

I think, maybe, the only way is to "automate" Excel, which means, you'll have to manipulate the Excel file, after you have created it, using code.
