I have installed sp1 of EE on windows server 2008r2. i am still in the eval period. however except for wmv files the EE is popping out error 'codec not found' for file like .vob, .mpg, .mov etc. i have already installed Qtime and installed /uninstalled all forms of codec packs like klite, codec pack etc. please help me

There is no trial version of Encoder, only the free version (which you probably have installed) which doesn't contain royalty bearing codecs, and the Pro retail version, which do.

If you want to import those files, you will need to install proper codecs for both the video and audio streams. For example, MOV files will need Quicktime to be installed and will need a reboot of your OS to setup the QT SDK paths correctly to work in our application. In general, if you can open the file in WMP using installed DShow codecs, you should be able to import it in Encoder too.
