I'm using ReportViewer control for exporting (render) reports to PDF in Hebrew. The PDF looks fine at first look but the problem is when I try to search for hebrew string inside. The string cannot be found (although its there...). If I copy the string from the document and paste it to the Search box I see squares instead of the string. I've tried to change the document font but it didn't help. This problem is only for hebrew strings, english and numers are working perfectly.

Does search for these fonts work with PDF's created outside of Report Viewer? If not, then the issue lies with the PDF viewing tool.

But let us assume that search does work and the issue is with the PDF generated by the RVC. The control does not embed fonts, but uses the fonts on the local system. If the same fonts as defined in the report cannot be found on the client system, a fall back mechanism is used. This may be why you see squares instead of the fonts during search.
