I have recently undertaken an internship with my college and my responsibility will primarily be to aid in the development of a WCF implementation for sending files between five different computers. I have only coded in Java and was hoping for some advice or feedback on a reliable book that could help me get started.

A little more on the project. I am one of five interns working in our campus'' newly designed GIS lab. It uses Surface applications on multiple touch tables and standalone monitors. My goal is to be able to send a file, primarily images, with markings as metadata from one machine to another without losing the original information and so that one user may remove any unwanted markings on the image. Both my instructor and I are fairly new to WCF and were looking for a reliable source of information to utilize.
