This is the first time I am posting on this forum so please forgive me if I haven't given enough details (suggestions would be very much appreciated). I am trying to apply an acrylic brush effect on a rectangle in my UWP project but whenever I do it the following error message appears: "SystemControlAcrylicElementBrush could not be resolved" along with a blue squiggly line. It's not just on the elements where messages to that effect appear. I also see it whenever I try to the apply the brush on the grid which would be used as a background. What should I do to get around it?

It's rather annoying since I just copied the code off the XAML Controls Gallery. I really don't know what is wrong. Please help.

Acrylic is new for the Fall Creators Update. Your app needs to target the FCU for Acrylic to be available. This requires VS 2017 not VS 2015.
