Can I install VS 2010 on my TFS machine and then just call mstext.exe from Command Line after the build? We need to start with some automated UI testing during Continuous Integration before we switch to TFS 2010 and I see no other way at the moment.

You should be able to run mstest.exe from the command line and publish the test result to TFS by providing the publishing parameters. I would personally run builds and tests on a separate machine than the TFS server so that the TFS installation doesn't break when adding new tools or that it will run slow because of builds and testing. In your case perhaps you can run the UI tests on a developer machine until you have upgraded to TFS 2010?
