Hi,

I'm trying to step into PresentationFramework.dll with Visual Studio 2008 SP1, but I can't get the sources.

The 1.3 version designation means that there was another refresh for .NET 3.5 sp1 RTM reference sources. The reason for the additional refresh can be things as minor as comment cleanup to as signficant as adding additional pdb's that weren't included in the initial refresh.

I've posted an explanation out in several of these threads that reference source lookup is version dependent; and therefore depends heavily on that particular update to the binary also getting the sources updated and published. The initial scope for reference source was a subset of the framework RTM managed binaries and didn't include publication of servicing updates.

We're working to expand that set of .NET reference managed sources published and get widely distributed servicing updates (patches) also included for a more comprehensive experience. Unfortunately, for servicing updates since the tooling is highly dependent on the extraction to be generated at build time, this will be addressed on a go forward basis.

Dev10/Netfx 4 pre-RTM reference sources are not published and we're evaluating the possibility of publishing pre-RTM for those when the tooling infrastructure is complete. No commitments yet on that as we're just starting those discussions internally for that readiness/possibility.
