I've set up 2 reports now and have a question about creating the data sources for both reports.  I've had to set up a query both in code and in xml.  This seems redundant to me but it's the only way I can get the reports to work.  I found some help on a website (http://www.vbdotnetheaven.com/UploadFile/krishnajina/CrystalReportwithXmlInVB11102005001552AM/CrystalReportwithXmlInVB.aspx) that demonstrates how to set up both the SQL in code and the xml schema.  Why do I have to do both?  The reports won't work without both however.  Hopefully I'm doing something wrong and creating more work for myself than necessary.
