I have Project 2007 Standard installed on my laptop with Windows7, 300 GB Hard disk and 4 GB RAM

I have been observing a strange behavior and here it goes:

I open a MPP and then I open another MPP or Doc or Excel or notepad. Then If I try to copy anything from either of the latter into the MPP, the MPPs close.

The MPP does not get corrupted; it just closes without saving. If I re-start the laptop, it works for a couple of hours and then I am back to square one.

I un-installed and re-installed Office and Project but no luck; the issue still persists.

Note that only the MPPs close; none of the other applications.

I'd check the local event log on your laptop to see if you find any clues.

The last time I ran into something like this, we traced it to an interaction with the biometrics security software installed - which was crashing Project whenever a drop down item was selected.  I'm not saying that's the case, but sometimes it's related to a third software package that is interacting with whatever you are doing with the copy/paste.
