I see the following error (see screenshot on http://imgur.com/a/ZOHnx) in my TFS 2017.1 but I get no further information. Otherwise, everything seems to work fine.

I can see the message only if I select an iteration and click on the "Configure Settings" button. In all other cases I get no error message for the fields tab.

Where does it come from? How can I get more information?

I can reproduce your issue at my side, it should be an issue for TFS 2017 update1.

The error will disappear when you change something in the configure page ( eg check or un check any filed). And just as you said, everything seems to work fine, it will not affect other features.
