We want to add additional columns to the Test Steps in Test Case Work Item Type.. 

我尝试在流程层面进行探索，以及使用XML方法（TFS的电源工具），但找不到任何进行这些修改的地方。

I tried exploring at the process level and as well as using the XML approach(power tools for TFS), but couldn't find any place to do these modifications.

The columns in TestSteps are set in TestStepsControl, we can’t add custom columns to append to the test steps, because it is a control (TestStepsControl) that can’t be customized. So you can try to add additional control to the test case work item.
