I'm trying to gather performance metrics From Dublin and India to our application server here in the US. We were lucky enough to have a production server to test on in our production data center. When I run my load tests from here in the US the average page load times seem about right for what I see when I log into site manually. However, when I run the tests from a box I have in an office in Dublin I'm seeing average page load times of 20-30 seconds even when I have the load test set to one user. I can TS into that box and see that the pages load in no more than 3 seconds. What's going on here? One thing we're theorizing for these pages that have very bad load times, there are anywhere from 150 to 170 requests being sent back and forth (yes, this is bad, but we're customizing an out of the box solution that making up the bulk of those requests) Being that VSTS isn't a browser and just records plays back the HTTP requests does it have to authenticate with the server for every request while the browers does not? I've never posted here, so please let me know if I should be providing any additional details.
