I've created pages in VS and wanted to use Web Expression 2 to style the pages.  Web Expressions seems to insert hundreds of   in the page.  It appears to be insering this within Ajax controls (MaskEditExtender).  The page does not display until I delete all of them.  After which WE inserts 100s of blank lines of code.  Also in the first line of code is "Inherts = "Project_Project"" (the name of the page is Project).  This creates an error (underlined in red) in VS standard.  Is there a way to make use this two great tools together and have them more compatible than what I'm experiencing?  I'm assuming each is using 3.5 .net framework but is it possible one is using an earlier version?   Thanks in advance.

AFAIK, this is a known and unresolved issue. See http://social.expression.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/web/thread/2be4cca6-ce5b-4080-a210-8e56b4f8d8b9. I searched the subject on Google and found little (much of what there was pointed back here ;-). Apparently this has existed since V1.0 and is still a problem, and has been bugged, and... well, I guess we'll see what happens in V3.0...

The only resolution I've seen discussed is to do the design editing in VS, VWD, or Dreamweaver. Yeah, I know... ;-)
