I was deployed my fisrt MSS 2008 express, but i have many problem with crawler

I want index a share on my server that contain files and folder file://dc1/preventivi

1. Are the files you are searching for in the index?  You can use the crawl log to determine this.

2. If you are searching for a substring of the title, it may not come back based on how the title was wordbroken.  For example, the filename "server1234.txt" contains the substring "server1".  In this case, I would not expect search server to return all possible completions of server1*.

However, a doc with a title like "Server1 access logs.doc" would come back for the query "server1."
