Hi all,

We used to have a Kinect for Windows Version 2 project and now plan to move it to cloud side. Everything is find except for coordinatemapper class. In order to reduce the processing in local computer, we plan to transfer 3D camera data to the cloud directly since it would be utilised later for computation. But the problem is we are not able to use coordiantemapper in cloud side. 

My question is if it is possible to initial Kinect (run KinectSensor object) in cloud side and then use it in local computer to acquire data. What is the best structure to use Kinect with cloud computing?

Very similar actually to my question. The problem is that the data needed for the processing actually comes FROM the sensor (apparently it can change dynamically). I'm really hoping Microsoft will open up the SDK to allow us to get all necessary data (this may actually be possible now) and that they will share the algorithms used so that we can replicate the CoordinateMapper functionality in cases where we don't have direct access to the sensor.

Given that this is done by KinectStudio and that KinectStudio supposedly uses only the Kinect API's, this seemingly should be possible with a little guidance.

Anyway, I'll monitor this thread and you can monitor mine. Perhaps we can help each other solve this.
