I have a simular problem with charting, where i need to change the legend values, i sent a question to Business Objects about it the only things they could offer me was

Following is a response I have received from one of our design engineers regarding your question, please let me know if it helps or not.
:
Would it help in your case to base the report on a formula? Say you have a chart that shows sales by country and you are not happy with the country names in your database. So you can create a formula that turns the country names into whatever you prefer, ie

if {Customer.Country} = "Italia" then "Italy"
else if {Customer.Country} = "Deutschland" then "Germany"
else ""

Now use this formula for the "On change of" option for the chart. And the charts legend will now show Italy and Germany, instead of Italia and Deutschland.

Since you can change the formula syntax at runtime, you could control at runtime what descriptive words are used on the legend.
