I am anextreem newbie but need help with a problem that i thought would be really simple to perform.

Ok, I have an app, with database containing several tables. Wanted to put a crystal report into it to view the info. Later this would be query run but baby seps to start.

Have put the viewer onto a form, created the report, linking to one database table showing 5 of the 14 fields within the database. Followed through the step by step... and then

the data that is shown on the report is not the data held in the database. Information about colours and flowers (I Think). Tried following through and creating a dataset seperate to the database and was unsuccessful again.

Hi Jon,

I take it you are using Visual Studios 2005.  If this is only happening inside of the IDE, have you tried to run your application.  Crystal Reports seems to use random data inside the IDE.
