I am trying to import data from excel to an access table. When I created the table with my first excel file it gave me the option to only import select columns so I skipped the data that wasn't relevant to me. Now I am trying to up date that original database with a new excel spreadsheet but it is telling me that I can't because the excel document has more columns than my access database (which is correct, but only because I skipped importing data when creating the database). I need to find a way to tell access to skip importing some columns like I was able to in the creation but the wizard limits the amount of changes I can make to the data during the import/append process. Does any one know a way to import data without using the wizard or how to turn the wizard off? BTW I am using Access and Excel 2013.
