Did you install the VS 2012 and meet the error information like "unable to locate package source ….."? If so, did you install it through the web installer or the ISO file?

Usually, for those issues we can try to download the integrity ISO file from here (sign in with your Microsoft account and freely join the Dev Essential )and I tried to download the VS 2012 ultimate ISO file, it includes the file "vs_preclean_vs.exe" as below:
