I am trying to setup a AppFabric Caching cluster with 2 nodes using XML configuration. The lead host is up and running OK and I shared the UNC path where the xml config is located.

But I get the following error when adding the second node:

Could not Permission on configuration store. Error occured while configuring permissions on the network shre: Access is denied....

The thing is, I can see that the XML has actually been updated with the second host entry.

I believe that you need "full control" on the network share. It's the account that running the AppFabric Configuration Wizard (or PS scripts) that must have that permission on the remote share.

Interesting that you see the entry in the XML though. Can you call Get-CacheHost in Windows PowerShell and see both cache hosts listed and running? If so, it looks like it worked despite the error.
