We have a website in our development environment that we would like to automatically update after each successful Continuous Integration build.

Previously, we would use the /PublishProfile option in the build step. Now we want to only publish if all the tests pass *and* we are downloading a few NPM modules during the build, so we're using TFS 2015 Releases. I have read the documentation and looked at other people's questions but I find the language used in the documentation ambiguous and hard to understand. There are also a number of "Publish" or "Copy" tasks, and the difference is not clear to me.
