Hello, I installed 4 Encoder, K-Lite Mega Codec Pack and DivX codec pack, plus I have a Windows 7. When converting. Mkv, so everything seems okay, but then the screen says  Error: Unknown error encoding file. I would be very grateful for the advice.

Could you please share with us a little more information about your source (codecs of auido and video streams, resolution, length, etc), your PC and OS,  as well as our encoding settings (a copy/paste of your XEJ file would be great)? Otherwise, I'm afraid we can't help you much.

That being said, I'm pretty sure that it's a 3rd party incompatibility issue, and with K-Lite involved, it's going to make it really hard for us to figure out which one is the culprit. I would personally uninstall the codec pack, or at the very least disable all the non-Microsoft codecs in the Tools->Options->Compatibility dialog. Then, re-enable only the ones you need for your specific file (I suspect a H.264 video and AC3 or MP3 audio contained within a MKV file, which would need Haali Media Splitter, the Divx H.264 codec and AC3Filter to work out. Also, if it's included in the K-Lite pack, make sure FFDShow is disabled as it's not playing nice with Encoder as many users reported.
