Hello I have my xbox live account linked to a hotmail email address I dont use anymore.  I dislike the name of it, but cannot rename it.  I have created a new microsoft account and would like to link it to my xbox account, and permanently delete my hotmail account.  Any advice would be appreciated.

On your Xbox dashboard go to Settings and select Profile. Next you need to select Account Security. This will open a new window with six options, select Change Microsoft Account. You will then be asked to sign in with your old one and type out your new one. Hope this sorts it for you.
