I am creating a dwt, that will be used by a relatively inexperienced (to Expression) user (using Expresion web 3).

When they add content in the editable areas I need then to be able to add hyperlinks.

I tried creating an html file that just contained the example code i.e.

but when I insert the file (using INSERT FILE) it gets wrapped in paragraph tags !!

I see no reason to use a span. Why can't you simply use <a href="whatever" clas="linkStyle">link text </a>
