We have created a workflow using DM Dynamic Workflow and it is performing in line with expectations - the users now want to have people who initiated the workflow on Submit to be alerted when their item has been approved by the individual nominated in the workflow definition. I have had a quick look and cannot see any way of doing this in the workflow itself or as far as alerts within PWA and SharePoint are concerned. Would an Event Handler be the answer to this requirement or is that outside of the remit of that feature available from within Server Settings in PWA?

As you have already discovered, the Solution Starter does not have the feature of dynamically picking the approvers during the workflow. And I defeintley know that this is not a setting in Server Settings.

In our case, we had to custom develop the workflow to pick up the value of the approver from the lookup table set up for this purpose.
