I encode a lot of movies from X264 into WMV, however iv recently changed my operating system from Vista to Win 7 ultimate; now every time i try and encode using EE3 it does the first pass, then on the second comes up with an unknown error fault and fails to encode. I have loaded what i think are the necessary codecs: k lite mega pack, FFDShow, Core AVC, Haali's spliter etc I think it may be an audio issue as when i try and convert using 5.1 it seems to struggle, but if i try the same file with stereo 2.0 it sometimes works. It always worked prior, now i'm not sure where i'm going wrong?

This is most likely a 3rd party codec issue. Please disable all of them in the compatibility menu and try different configuration of codecs to get it working. From other users on this forum, it seems likely the ffdshow might be the culprit. Of course, I would suggest you first try using only the codecs we ship with. :)
