While I'm using Expression Encoder 4, I still have this question. I realize the profile list can be large, but is there a way to get a list of video profiles supported by a specific device?

If you were previously using Windows Media Encoder for these devices -- did you have PRX files for those devices ?  Using the EE4 UI creating a EE4 preset that matches the settings previously used in Windows Media Encoder should be do able.   If you don't have the encoding settings used with Windows Media Encoder, consult the documentation for the device or contact the manufacturer of the device for information on the supported and/or optimum profiles for the device.

FWIW:  If you launch EE4 in "Transcoding Project" mode -- the presets section will include an "Encoding for Devices" section and there are "factory" presets for some of the more popular devices.
