Hi folks,

When I try and debug my program, the application freezes when it reaches the breakpoint. Then I have to Ctrl_alt-Del ->Task Manager to Un-freeze it. After that I can it works OK. Very annoying.

Any ideas what might be causing this. Same behaviour in VS 2015 and VS 2017

Hi jppnn，

Which kind of app did  you debug? Does it have this issue if you just run it using "start without debugging(Ctrl+F5)"? If you debug it in other VS machine, how about the result?

Could you disable the Diagnostic tool or other options like E&C and UI debugging tool or JIT debugging in your side? Please also run your VS as the admin or in safe mode with devenv /SafeMode, view the result. 

We have to make sure that whether it is related to the VS or the debugging tool or the project itself.

Please also enable the Exception settings to find much more information if it was related to the code itself.
