Does anyone know exactly how live streams are sent from the EE4 encoder to IIS7 media services. Hopefully there is some kind of buffer running on EE4 that is sending HTTP chunks up to IIS? Is this how it works? What happens if the internet connection is lost? Will the buffer continue to fill and then restore when the link is restored? Can the file buffer be accessed and stored as an archive?

EE4 does have an internal buffer, however, we do not support server re-connect in v4. You can archive the live smooth stream while you are broadcasting.
