Has anyone determined why some xxx.tpl files open as html and others want to open as text with the query dialog box. As some may know tpl file are used in smarty and can be treated as HTML from a coding aspect.

I added .tpl files to my options to open as HTML type. Now some files get opened properly, others don't.

I even took the same file that had a single smarty comment line in it.

from a file that opens OK and saved that same text to another file name xxx.tpl. Expressions cannot open that new file correctly.

The way that I save tpl files is to do a "save as" file name.tpl and change the file type to "ALL FIles"

I also looked at the two file's properties .. Both say they are to be opened via Expressions as HTML but in fact they are handled differently.

So my guess is that some file property that I'm not aware about is causing web expressions to try to open it differently.

Any other help or work around would be nice.
