The problem is that we are technical people who understand computers, and how they work.

What you need is to talk to companies or people who understand ears.

They will (I assume) understand why someone would want your application, how they would use it, and what they would do with the results. I wouldn''t. You could tell me my ear channel is 3cm long, and has a compliance of 57% @ 13kHz and it would mean absolutely nothing to me. (And given that I made the numbers up that would surprise nobody).
