sorry for this trivial question but i couldn't find a definitive answer to my question. I'm building a kinect application that will be displayed on a 46 inch 1080p screen... What i want to understand is if the kinect SDK im building the application with will automatically factor in different screen sizes or will that have to be done manually?what happens when the application was developed and tested on a standard desktop with a 17 inch display but would be deployed on a PC with a 46 inch display. Would the kinect app be able to scale for different screen sizes automatically?

The Kinect sensor has a limited range of resolutions that it supports; it's native resolution is 640x480 and, with adequate computing resources, it can handle 30 fps. See the ColorImageFormat enumeration for a full list of resolutions.

Essentially, if you blow a 640x480 image up on a 46" screen it will look hideous (at least up close.) Displaying the output of the color camera is not what the Kinect is really about.
