made an application install package with VS2008. But sometime, Err 2908 pops out during installing the package to indincate the installing failure. After that, an warning that Microsoft Office Outlook has not been installed for the current user, please run setup to install the application is got after starting Outlook(Outlook is installed). Now I get a workaround to solve the Outlook starting issue by changing the registry of the system.

I think something must be wrong in the install package. My question is how to avoid the issue when making the install package.

Are you installing some Dll or assembly that you didn't build, perhaps some dependency or other?
