My FP website www.jurassicpork.com has over 2,000 recipes, all linked to various categories.  I'm moving the site to Expressions, was thinking it may make more sense to have the recipe files in a CMS - I don't want the recipes themselves changed, but it would be cool to allow readers to leave comments/suggestions.

Leaving comments sounds like a blog function (e.g. WordPress).  CMS would let them post changes to your site, which it does not sound like you are talking about.

In any event, with hundreds of existing htm pages with recipes on them, what are you really asking for?  Surely not comments per page, or anything requiring you to revamp your entire site? Can you clarify your goals?
