I have an archive of multiple images that are in a structured hierarchy of folders.
The images in question have been generated over time at Basketball Matches
So the top level is a folder for the season
- 17-18 Season
So the next level down is a folder for the match that is named
- yyyy-mm-dd Home_team v Away_team.
The next level down we have folders with generic content names like
- Non Game
- Bench&Crowd
- 1st Qtr
- 2nd Qtr
Then within each of these folders the individual images have a file name with the following structure.
- yyyy-mm-dd Serial_Number
This gives each image a unique name based on the date the photo was taken.
As it stands I can use the folder structure to go to any part of any given match and view all the photos.
I have been told we want this data available to all of my associates and I could just migrate the folder structure to a shared drive.
However I have been informed we are going to a cloud based solution using Sharepoint.
There are currently
Circa 84,227 Images
Contained in 1222 folders

Whatever you like, you can migrate them to SharePoint.
The thing is whether you need a 3rd services vendor or you can implement it by yourself if there are developers in your organization.
