Hi MSDN forum,

I'm trying to get this list to fit in the web part boarder. Is there a way to limit the list to the dimensions of the web part and then add a horizontal scroll bar? any other ideas would be very welcomed. Thanks in advance

To get a more clear view of your requirement, please help me to confirm the following information.

Are you editing on some specific Web Parts which will need to use the custom list?  If it is possible to provide a screenshot of your Web Part and the custom list you are fitting, that will be great help for narrowing down the range.  

Or you are editing a page and trying to insert a custom list as a Web Part into a zone in the page layout? And you want to change the size of the Web Part?

If it is the second case, you can Click on the down arrow  on the right-top of your Web Part and then click Edit Web Part. On the right of the screen you'll see the Web Part edit bar. You can click on the appearance tab and change the height and width to the size you want.
