I built a custom workflow with 2 stages in the first phase. In the first stage, the user defines project details and submit it for approval. In the second stage, the manager of the project owner decide to approve/reject the project. If he decided to reject where he in fact is asking for modification, I want the workflow to go back to the first stage.

I tried that but the workflow crashes if the same stage UID exists twice in the workflow definition. Can anyone explain that to me? Is there another way to do that?

PS workflows are linear in nature and can only go forward. I would review you stage boundaries to understand whether you should really be moving to the next stage before the approval / reject has happened.
