I am working on a project in c # which need to record the video from the kinect in a 'avi' document  and take a picture when a certain gesture happen.

I try to use the Save option in Coding4Fun, but it make the camera not smooth. Is there any suggestion for these? It would be better if there is a sample. Thanks.

Hi,

are you doing two things here.

i) recording the video

ii) take the photo/snapshot when gesture occurs

For photo/snapshot you can take the print screen (screen shot), the screen part which renders the video. This does not hang up the camera and gives best results.
