i have build provided V2 sample credential provider in VS-2013 and performed below tasks in VM and Local machine.

4. Ran "register.reg" to merge keys to system registry

Result: Not showing credential Provider tile in sign-in options (No Change in Login Screen)

Here I am not able to understand while it is working in Virtual machine, why it is not working in Local Machine with same set of environment.

Based on my search, the third step cause the issue, when coping credential provider dll to system folder.

When accessing the system folder, we must have properly admin. Did you try to use same user to access the application.

Did you get the other error message on local machine?
