We make use of Visual Studio Pro for development of our application.

Can RobotFramework scripts be developed in Visual Studio with intellisense support, debug/runtime support and integrated into a solution?

I'm aware there is syntax highlighting in Visual Studio Code, but I'm looking for more of an IDE solution (as in the Eclipse plugin, RED)

As far as I know, the RobotFramework scripts cannot be developed in Visual Studio Pro with intellisense support, but it could be developed in Visual Studio Code.

You could install RobotF Extension and Robot Framwork Intellisense in Visual Studio Code, then, you will could do Robot Framework development in Visual Studio Code.
