I am trying to archive some old vhs tapes for later processing a few years down the road.  I want to leave the source interlaced and when I choose Force Off for the deinterlacing option it still produces an interlaced wmv.  Interlaced wmv is part of the VC-1 Advanced spec so why can't EE do this?  Thanks.

Yes, unfortunately, this is a feature missing from Expression Encoder. Since Encoder's main objective is to be the Silverlight video authoring tool, interlacing support is low on our priority list (but it's there, nonetheless). I gather that you wouldn't need to interlace progressive content, right? I'll open a suggestion bug on your behalf.
