I don't recommend this approach, (i.e. trying to share a linked structure via a drop box), as it is more prone to file corruption for a variety of reasons. However, that being said I recall having a similar construct in a large linked structure delivered to me via drop box. I was able to open the structure on my PC and run it. As long as the complete structure is in a single folder in the drop box, each user's PC should be able to automatically reconfigure the links for that user's file hierarchy.

Here's what I would try. Create a small test linked structure with a master and a few subprojects. Create links between tasks in subprojects and save it all to a given folder. Then upload that folder to the drop box and have your teammates try to open it.

If the test doesn't work, then I suggest you use a static master to share with teammates.
